Web Page or Pamphlet
Students will work in small groups to create a web page or pamphlet containing information about a type of rock from our area. These products will be added to the school's website. Web pages and pamphlets will be assessed as a group according to this rubric.

Students will keep a learning log which will contain notes, research information, answers to questions, and reflections. Students will use Google Docs so that they can collaborate with peers on group work. These will be completed by the individual and assessed according to this rubric.

Reflections Methods
Student Self-Reflection
Students will complete a self-reflection on project work using BIE's rubric.
Group Reflection
The students and teacher will participate in a whole-class discussion about how the project went, celebrating the successes and making suggestions for improvements.

The teacher should make reflections throughout the project, paying attention to what works and what should be changed.
